MORE ABOUT HÄNSN
Born in a small city in germany and raised more by the beautiful nature surrounding his house than by his parents, HÄNSN always felt drawn to the adventure and the unexpected. So it's quite unsurprising, he couldn't find a way to music through several music lessons, like the guitar or the piano, which he in the first place only wanted to play because of the nice electronic sounds of his brothers key-board. No, it was the rockfestivals he visited in his youth, that brought him closer to electronic music. None of the acts put him as much on fire as the deep waving bass of
The XX or the catchy synths of
Paul Kalkbrenner. Soon he would start putting together songs on his old computer and smashing tracks on the same bulky device.
Moving to Stuttgart gave him more variety in music styles and also much more opportunities to play shows and master his own style. While playing several gigs at universities, student dorms and smaller bars, he made lots of friends, with some he then founded the label WEVIEW. The first EP is to be expected mid February. A monthly showcase with all five DJs BLAK & CRÉER, Dominik Krammer
and Mindsogone is held at the local club Romantica.
"Electronic music is so important to me, because it brings people together in a way, nothing else can. It leaves much room for interpretation and everyone can approach electronic music completely unbiased. Unlike pop music it doesn't tell you what to think or even sing along, instead electronic music produces subtle feelings, which any culture, any sex in any age can understand."
For the time being HÄNSN is working on his first EP on WEVIEW music and playing monthly gigs at Romantica, 1. Stock and several other venues as part of his tour "Dancen mit Hänsn".
